Check your cat’s chip before choosing
ePawDen supports 15-digit ISO FDX-B chips at 134.2 kHz, not 9- or 10-digit chips. Its included RFID tag provides another access option. Sure Petcare provides a compatibility checker for its supported chip range; use that tool rather than assuming the brands accept identical formats. Consider the daily routine
ePawDen includes rechargeable power and a steel bowl; optional divided bowls, Side Guards and a Tilt Riser address different setup needs. SureFeed includes a split bowl and has optional steel bowls and a rear cover. Compare the complete configuration you need, including accessories and batteries, rather than just the initial unit price. Stainless steel is not inherently sterile and does not replace cleaning.
What if you need an app or food-weight records?
SureFeed Connect is a separate product with weighing and app functions through its Hub. The current ePawDen feeder does not provide app-based intake records. Future ePawDen development is not a feature of the product you can buy today.
What happens while the authorized cat is eating?
Selective opening does not guarantee that another cat cannot crowd the entrance or reach the open meal. Watch an entire approach, meal and departure. Compare physical coverage and the cat’s comfort; use our troubleshooting guide if food is still being stolen.
Who should choose which setup?

- Choose another arrangement if your pet cannot comfortably use the opening or tolerate the required identification method.
Switching requires a new setup
Do not assume tags, bowls or pairing records transfer between brands. Pair the new feeder, retain a reliable feeding alternative during introduction, and follow gradual training guidance. Check current return conditions before ordering.
